About MAITY Space
MAITY Space GmbH is a German startup founded in 2024 and headquartered in Darmstadt. Specializing in space safety and orbital sustainability, the company provides an automated and flight-proven (TRL-9) collision avoidance software service, MAITY Argus, which supports all major data providers, including SpaceTrack, EUSST, LeoLabs, and Starlink – and many more to come. The core technology is based on the European Space Agency's (ESA) colafw framework, originally developed by MAITY's CTO and co-founder, Quirin Funke. MAITY Space serves as the prime contractor for the ESA-funded COLA-Large project to further develop the cutting-edge operational toolchain to handle the challenges of the New Space era. MAITY's expertise also extends to a comprehensive portfolio of Space Situational Awareness services. The team members bring over a decade of operational experience, supporting over dozen ESA flagship missions (e.g. Biomass, EarthCARE). MAITY can support missions across all major orbit regions, LEO, MEO, GEO, and HEO and covering the full satellite life cycle from mission planning, over LEOP, commissioning, routine operations and re-entry.
